During the period of COVID movement restrictions we spent a lot of time walking on Hampstead Heath. Through Spring and Summer, wildflowers filled the meadows, filled us with joy and gratitude and I knew I had to paint them. These paintings are collaged on painted book paper. I love the quirkiness that these papers bring to the paintings. I have used various Japanese papers collected over the years to collage the flowers.
These daisies are painted and collaged on a deep green painted background. The mix of paint and paper adds an element of fun as well as texture to these paintings. The compositions work well together as a group or can be hung individually.
